An existing housing estate on the outskirts of Newbury, the practice was tasked with redeveloping current housing stock which no longer met Decent Homes Standards, whilst improving security, access and community facilities.  Several proposals were drawn up for phased demolition of the existing homes and their replacement with a modern mixed development of houses and flats.  Residents and the local community were intensively consulted and the practice achieved an outline planning permission for 155 units with associated parking, new open space and community facilities.
