After nearly 10 years of working with the vendor and crossing many hurdles and setbacks, the practice was finally successful in 2004 in obtaining planning approval for 15 houses and 43 flats for a local RSL on this brownfield site. A scheme of two sides, with multi storey flats fronting the main road, the rear addressed the lower density neighbouring buildings with terraces of housing. This high density scheme provided much needed affordable housing on a complex inner city site.
